Sally Barish (1946-2025)

A pioneering force in the world of specialty painting and decorative arts, Sally turned a passion project started in her kitchen into one of the most respected art and design studios in New York.

For over 35 years, her work transformed buildings, homes, businesses, and public spaces across Long Island and beyond. Her eye for color, instinct for design, and unmatched determination left a lasting mark on every surface she touched—and every person she worked with.

Sally’s legacy lives on through the countless artists she employed, the clients she inspired, and the high standards she set. Always sharp, funny, and fiercely dedicated, she had a gift for seeing potential—in a blank wall, in a rough sketch, and in people.

Her spirit continues in the work we do every day.
